Mountain View High School recently earned accreditation from Project Lead the Way (PLTW). PLTW is the leading provider of rigorous and innovative Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education curricular programs used in middle and high schools across the U.S. To earn this accreditation status, counselors and administrators had to complete training courses at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS); the Mountain View High School teacher attended four summer training institutes in Colorado and New York. Accreditation teams visited schools last spring. Mountain View High School is the only PLTW accredited school in northern Colorado. Students in the program can receive concurrent credit at UCCS.
