Quality Performance Department

The Quality Performance Department (QPD) will support the Thompson School District mission and vision of Empower to learn, Challenge to achieve, Inspire to excel by providing structure, clarity and support to building a system of continuous improvement.

The QPD's primary role is to support Vision 2020 and specifically the goal Culture of Excellence. Several key actions are being implemented district wide and they are described below. Contact us at 613-5010 for further information or if you would like to get involved.

  1. Implementing Vision 2020-support and project management for all goal areas: Robust Learning, Equity in Access, Healthy Constituent Relationships, Culture of Excellence, Responsible Stewardship

  2. Maintain systems alignment projects and build systems that promote efficiency and effectiveness.

  3. Maintain collaboration with Rocky Mountain Performance Excellence (non-profit organization to help organizations achieve goals and demonstrate results using Criteria for Performance Excellence)

  4. Identifying and developing processes that impact our system and give us the greatest potential for success.

The school district was designated with a Foothills level which recognized the approach (or processes) we are using toward building a continuous improvement culture. Check out the 2011 Foothills application to see a snapshot of the work being done.
