Jeff Swanty was elected to the Thompson School District Board of Education Director District A in November 2015. Jeff is a US Navy Veteran serving from 1969-1973. He received his Bachelors of Science from Arizona State University and has his Chartered Financial Consultant Designation from American University. Jeff has been with Allstate Insurance for 36 years and currently owns and operates a local insurance agency. Jeff is committed to serving his local community. As a past TSD Board of Education member from 2003-2006, he is also an elected board member of the Loveland Rural Fire Protection District, Chairman of the Loveland Fire Rescue Authority and Governor appointed Commissioner of the 8th Judicial Nominating Committee. As a BOE Director, Jeff hopes to help the district in attracting and keeping the very best teachers and staff while providing all students the opportunity of choice in their education including those who are not college bound.

Bryce Carlson was elected to the Thompson School District Board of Education Director District B seat in November 2013. Mr. Carlson is one of the founding pastors of Foundations Church in Loveland where he works specifically in the area of music and worship. He received his degree from Chicago's North Park University prior to moving to Colorado in 2005. With two children who will soon be entering Thompson schools, Mr. Carlson intends to continually improve student achievement, champion teachers and employees, and advocate for school choice throughout the district.

Denise Montagu was elected to the Thompson School District Board of Education Director District C seat in November 2011. Ms. Montagu, a Thompson School District graduate, began her career as a counselor in a residential treatment center for seven years prior to starting a family. She holds a Bachelor's Degree and currently works in the marketing field. Ms. Montagu has served on several boards and continues to hold a variety of volunteer positions. She has three children currently attending district schools. Ms. Montagu's goal as a Board of Education member is for the Thompson School District to provide a quality education to its students, thereby affording them a multitude of lifelong opportunities.

Pam Howard was appointed to the Thompson School District Board of Education Director District D seat in October 2013. Mrs. Howard is a 25 year resident of Loveland, and all three of her children have attended District schools. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University and began her career as a high school English teacher. Upon moving to Colorado with her husband, she taught English at Aims Community College campuses. Mrs. Howard has volunteered on numerous boards and commissions for Larimer County, the City of Loveland and the Thompson School District. Most recently she served on the Thompson Valley High School School Accountability Committee, and the District Budget Proposal Team. She strongly believes that all students deserve the chance to achieve and succeed and that public education is their key to a successful future.

Lori Hvizda Ward was elected to the Thompson School District Board of Education Director District E seat in November 2013. She and her husband Ken, a software engineer, have lived in Loveland since 1987 and have three children who attend district schools. She holds a BA in psychology and English from Williams College. After 12 years in the insurance industry, her passion for education was ignited while serving on the Board of Directors at Loveland Preschool. Since then, she has volunteered thousands of hours in district schools, serving as PTA President and SAC Chair, as well as on the district Budget Proposal Team and Talent Development Services Advisory Council. She is dedicated to ensuring a quality public education for all students in Thompson schools.

Carl Langner was elected to the Thompson School District Board of Education Director District F seat in November 2013. Dr. Langer is a retired engineer having specialized for more than 40 years in the design and construction of offshore pipelines. He holds a Ph.D. degree in engineering mechanics and is a member of the National Academy of Engineering. Carl and his wife Ann, a former elementary school teacher, have two daughters and four grandchildren. Together Carl and Ann taught children's Sunday School for more than 20 years. As a board member Carl will strive to improve student achievement, particularly in English and Math, through focus on teacher motivation and curricula that will assure student success in life.

Dave Levy was elected to the Thompson School District Board of Education Director District G in November 2015. Dave is a registered Professional Engineer in several states and spent his professional career working on large public works projects in both rail transit and highways. Dave received his Bachelor of Engineering degree from the Cooper Union and his two children graduated from Berthoud High School. Dave developed the transit design for Denver Union Station which was completed on time and under budget. Dave intends to bring his management and budget control experience to the Board to benefit the District.
