The Thompson Integrated Early Childhood Program provides quality preschool experiences and specialized services to three and four year olds who are eligible for services in one of three program components:

Head Start is a federal program designed to meet the needs of three and four year old children and families of low income. This comprehensive program works both with children and families to promote social competence and remove barriers to success. The Early Childhood Program is allotted 139 slots for children who qualify for Head Start. If you are interested in applying for Head Start call 613-5052.

The Colorado Preschool Program (CPP) is a state funded program designed to provide children who are at risk for school failure with a preschool experience. Children eligible for this program are served either at district early childhood centers or at preschool centers in our community. The program currently has 180 slots for children who qualify for CPP. Iif you are interested in applying for CPP call 613-5761.

The school district is responsible for providing special education services to all children who are identified with a disability as they turn three. Children with a wide range of disabilities receive services from speech and language specialists, occupational therapists, and early childhood special educators. Children enter this program throughout the year as they turn three. Iif your child has an active IFSP/IEP or if you have concerns about your child's development call 613-5762.
