I am a proud teacher at Van Buren Elementary. Since 1983, I have taught in grades 1-6, Intervention, and Art. I've held or currently have licenses in Florida, Missouri, and Colorado. What ever grade I'm teaching, happens to be my favorite. I love each student as if they were my own.
I am a wife to Gary Thomas and mother of three. Marjorie is 27, Mariah is 18, and Kolton will soon be 17. I have four 4-legged children, too. Java is a husky-mix, Kona is a Siberian Husky, Zeke is a Cairn Terrier, and Mimze is a barn cat.
We have lived in Loveland almost 12 years and call it home. We came from the Kansas City area.
My favorite place to vacation is a warm, tropical beach. I love animals of all kinds. I like to draw and paint. Shopping is my therapy.
I treasure time with my husband, children, and friends.
I believe every day is a gift and I try to "Pay it Forward" with kindness daily.
My classroom is a "family" that learns, struggles, engages, laughs, cries, and succeeds together. We are learning to take ownership of our choices and actions, we exercise tolerance and respect, gratitude and compassion. Together, we are amazing!
I am honored to be part of our Van Buren family.
